Tom is a Health IT thought leader driving the transformation of delivery of care models. Major achievements in his career include: lead collaborator to computerize UPS’ 83 regional call centers, and served as a significant contributor in the roll-out of the first national wireless data networks. Health IT related achievements: President of iPatientCare (cloud based EHR), Patient Portal roll-out attracting over fifteen million users, and led largest initial roll-out of direct messaging to forty-three thousand subscribers.

Foley launched the WW Health Solution strategy at LenovoHealth. His strategic thinking and innovative approaches across the wrist to cloud continuum is changing the way the world wide market looks at delivery of care, connected health and virtual care models. Foley also moderated the Health Innovation Think Tank (HITT), an executive collaborative made up of fifty healthcare delivery systems, payer organizations and healthcare IT vendors and other thought leaders who offer their insights leading to the establishment of best practices on a variety of issues associated with value based care, connected health and virtual care.

He also served two years on the UPMC Board of Center of Connected Medicine. Most recently, Foley was an executive leader at Cerner responsible for Consumer Strategy inclusive of telehealth, remote patient monitoring, portal, CRM (and mobile apps) across the federal market – advocating the virtual care delivery model.
