Meet the Host
As executive director, Katie provides leadership by supporting the GTMRx Institute’s vision: enhance life by ensuring appropriate and personalized use of medications and gene therapies. As a GTMR Institute founding board member, she is working to build a coalition of like-minded companies all committed to getting the medication right for patients and their families.
Katie has a long history of collaboration in multi-stakeholder environments. She and her team have helped more than 35 clients meet advocacy, policy, outreach, marketing and awareness goals. Instrumental in the launch of the Primary Care Collaborative (formerly Patient-Centered Primary Care Collaborative), the eHealth Initiative and other advocacy organizations, her team lending expertise for organizational development and advocacy outreach.
She has long worked at the intersection of different segments of the health care industry including value-based care, HIT to ensure quality and accountability, team-based care, measurement metrics to liberate purchasing from high performing networks, and others. Katie has served on the board of the Washington Adventist Health Foundation, the Institute for Health and Productivity Management (advisory board), the Healthcare Industry Access Initiative and Emmi Solutions. She has served on the board of the National Business Coalition on Health and its national advisory board, and on the NCQA purchaser committee. She writes on topics relating to quality, health care cost, market-based health care reform and the value of shared health information.
