The HIMSS19 Global Conference & Exhibition is just around the corner taking place February 13 – 15, 2019 in Orlando, FL. The HIMSS Global Conference and Exhibition is not for the faint of heart. It is a whirlwind five days jam packed with learning sessions, meet ups, networking events, showcases, workshops, and more than 1,300 leading health IT vendors to visit in the Exhibition Hall. For the fifth year in a row This Just In host Justin Barnes, aka @HITAdvisor, will be broadcasting live from the HIMSS Conference. Last year’s broadcast had over 30,000 listeners and this year’s show promises to be even more successful. As always, Barnes has secured a great guest line up which will include CEOs, CIOs, leading care providers, industry thought leaders, riveting authors and of course, some policy makers. The broadcast will begin promptly at 1:00 pm ET with the same first guest Barnes interviews each year, John Halamka, M.D., CIO Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. The HIMSS Interoperability Showcase – A Must See
The HIMSS Interoperability Showcase is the highest trafficked area of the exhibit floor and is packed with nearly 20 demonstration areas, a large education theater, a product marketplace and more. The redesigned HIMSS Interoperability Showcase is a premier 34,000-sq-ft HIMSS experience that displays, in real time, the exchange and use of data through interoperability profiles and standards with live products currently in the marketplace. While previous showcases have focused on transactional interoperability, the redesigned showcase emphasizes the importance of individuals being responsible for and connected directly to their health information, as well as the driving force that makes this connection possible: IT.
