National Health Center Week is an annual celebration that raises awareness about the vital role America’s health centers play in providing affordable, accessible care to millions of patients nationwide. As demand for primary care continues to grow, health centers remain a source of innovation, expertise, and compassion in communities across the country. This year, National Health Center Week will take place August 2–8, 2026, with the theme, “Building Innovative Care Where It Matters Most.” This week’s Friday Five highlights NHCW26 and showcases the many ways health centers are shaping the future of healthcare.

The 2026 Community Health Institute (CHI) & EXPO is the premiere gathering of the nation’s Community Health Centers, the largest network of primary care providers in the nation. Currently serving, 1 in 10 Americans, NACHC’s goal is for health centers to serve one in three Americans as the nation’s healthcare Employer, Provider, and Partner of Choice. The conference will provide attendees with the latest in science, education, practice, and policy that health centers need to stay competitive and financially stable.
