Maternal Health Awareness Day is a dedicated time to recognize the importance of maternal health and advocate for the well-being of mothers before, during, and after pregnancy. It serves as a reminder of the need for quality healthcare, education, and support to ensure safe pregnancies and childbirth experiences. By raising awareness of maternal health challenges and disparities, we can work toward better outcomes for mothers and babies. Join us in spreading knowledge, supporting initiatives, and advocating for policies that prioritize maternal health for all.
On Demand Webinar: Access in Crisis
In this one-hour webinar, ACOG members on the front lines of the maternal health crisis shed light on ongoing challenges facing those seeking and providing maternal and reproductive health care. Experts in maternal and reproductive health discuss workforce shortages, the experience of seeing their patients denied care, the realities of practicing in rural or historically underserved areas, and work being done to understand the maternal mortality crisis and advocate for solutions. Also, a patient who was unable to obtain an abortion in her home state shares her experience of receiving a heartbreaking diagnosis during her pregnancy.
