This Just In host, Justin Barnes and HIMSS will be partnering once again this year to broadcast live from the HIMSS17 Annual Conference in Orlando. Justin will interview more than forty guests during the conference. This week’s Friday Five lists six former This Just In guests who Justin will chat with again live from HIMSS17. Healthcare Now Radio will be airing the HIMSS17 show live so be sure to tune in starting Feb. 20 at 1 p.m.
Jitin Asnaani
Justin interviewed Jitin Asnaani (@Jitin) from CommonWell Health Alliance (@CommonWell) in November of 2015. Justin and Jitin discussed interoperability strategy and opportunity. Asnaani’s diverse work history includes product innovation and interoperability at athenahealth, technical standards development at the Office of National Coordinator (ONC), product management at a health IT startup and strategy consulting at Deloitte.
Jennifer Dennard
Jennifer Dennard (@JennDennard), the Digital Diva from HIStalk and founder of #HealthITchicks, is one of Justin’s most recent guests but they go way back. Justin likes to interview Jennifer prior to The HIMSS Annual Conferences. He spoke with Jennifer prior to HIMSS15 and also again this year when they discussed healthcare trends as well as a #HIMSS17 preview.
Greg Fulton
Justin enjoys chatting with guest Greg Fulton (@glfulton), so much so that he has had him on the show twice! Greg currently holds the position of Industry & Public Policy Lead for Philips Wellcentive (@Wellcentive). The two met in January of 2016 and then almost an exact year later in January of 2017, each time discussing government affairs and healthcare policy.
Ivo Nelson
Justin first met famed entrepreneur Ivo Nelson (@IvoNelson) at the April 2015 HIMSS Annual Conference in Chicago. The following July, Justin had the opportunity to sit down with Nelson and get to know him better. Nelson is currently Chairman and CEO of Next Wave Health (@NextWaveConnect), an investment firm that works with start-ups and early stage companies that need more than money and will speak with Justin once again this year at HIMSS.
Mariann Yeager
Marianne Yeager, CEO and Executive Director at The Sequoia Project (@sequoiaproject), also appeared on Justin’s show two times to discuss interoperability strategies and best practices, as well as The Sequoia Project’s new patient matching white paper.
