Friday Five – Cybersecurity Awareness Month Wrap Up
Follow and join the conversation with #BeCyberSmart.
Throughout the month of October the National Cyber Security Alliance (@StaySafeOnline), in partnership with the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (@CISAgov), celebrated Cybersecurity Awareness Month 2022 in order to raise awareness about the importance of cybersecurity and ensure that all individuals and organizations have the information and tools they need to be safer and more secure online. This week’s Friday Five rounds up all of the posts, tweets, advice, tips, tools and episodes that we have promoted throughout the month of October to encourage and show our readers how to #BeCyberSmart.
About Cybersecurity Awareness Month
Cybersecurity Awareness Month was created by the Department of Homeland Security and the National Cyber Security Alliance in October of 2004. It was launched in an effort to help Americans to be safe in the rapidly growing Internet. Since its inception, the month has only grown more important as our lives become increasingly digitized. We are only one of many industry participants who have taken this month to educate our community on the importance of cybersecurity.
No matter your age, how many hours you spend online, or if you can always identify all the pictures with a stoplight in them, #CybersecurityAwarenessMonth was created with you in mind. Follow us and @CISAgov for tips and tricks all October! https://t.co/KljdwzQ19b #BeCyberSmart pic.twitter.com/1aVp4KX9kS

We Asked the Experts
Cybersecurity Awareness Month reminds us that there are things we as individuals need to do to protect our own personal data as well as information belonging to the companies and organizations with which we work and associate. Each week in October, Answers Media focused on a specific theme to learn more about being Cyber Smart and engage our health IT community in cybersecurity awareness. Hear what our healthcare security experts had to say about phishing, multi-factor authentication, the technical supply chain, cyber hygiene and more.
