Led by the American Nursing Association, National Nurses Week is May 6 – 12. This week long celebration always concludes on May 12, Florence Nightingale’s birthday. National Nurses Week promotes the nursing profession and encourages celebrations to recognize the contributions of nurses at the local, state, and national level.

The purpose of IHAWW is to make a positive impact on health and wellness overall, as well as to unite people through the common goal of preventing obesity and disease, to promote a better quality of life, and to celebrate life together.
The second Monday in May is National #WomensCheckUpDay. This year the day falls on May 9th and marks the 14th annual Women’s Check-Up Day. Each year the goal is to encourage women to schedule their annual well visit.
