A wave of pink seems to wash over everything this time of year as companies, organizations, athletes, healthcare workers and individuals join the movement each October to show their support for National Breast Cancer Awareness Month. This week’s Friday Five highlights the latest in research, treatment, fund raising and prevention.

Game Pink – Gaming for Charity

Check out National Breast Cancer Foundation, Inc. (@NBCF) resources for Breast Cancer Awareness Month including ways to get involved, survivor stories, and how to help women in need. They are also hosting Game Pink, a way to bring together gamers, streamers, developers, and publishers on a mission to help women and families impacted by breast cancer. Playing your favorite video game can make a difference in the lives of women and families facing the realities of breast cancer. Breast Cancer Now – Wear It Pink in the UK
Breast Cancer Now (@breastcancernow) is the charity steered by world-class research and powered by life-changing care. In the United States, people are encouraged to wear it pink all month for breast cancer awareness. This year, in the UK the national Wear It Pink Day is October 23.
