Michael’s career journey in healthcare, started in big pharma and transitioned to biotech, where he found a greater emphasis on patient-centric development and innovative culture. His experience at AVEO, where he initially served as Chief Commercial Officer, then shifted to Chief Business Officer after receiving a complete response letter from the FDA for their lead drug, Tivozanib. Despite challenges, Michael became CEO and led the company’s turnaround, culminating in FDA approval in 2021 and eventual acquisition by LG.
